Alissa Baker

Consultant

Alissa is a passionate and accomplished educator, who has worked within both the primary and tertiary sector.  She taught as both a junior primary classroom teacher and a LOTE (language) teacher along whilst gaining ongoing positions as a workshop facilitator for Bachelor of Education students at the University of South Australia (Inclusive Education, Managing Classroom Environments, Humanities and Social Science, Professional Experience Honours Program and Design & Technology).  Alissa brings a myriad of presentation techniques and teaching & learning experiences, strategies and concepts to her current role. 

 

Alissa enjoys bringing a sense of creative flair and a dynamic introspective to her work.  She draws on a vast array of transferrable skills from her prior degree in Interior Architecture and Design and prior experience as a Senior Project Manager and Consultant for design and commercial interior fit-outs.  In this role, she was responsible for many small to large scale fit outs in South Australia and confidently handled all aspects of the project stages from client engagement, product selection, 3D plan creation, concept sketches, estimation, ordering, logistics and delivery phases. She is able to intuitively problem solve and find solutions to execute the successful delivery of projects along with plan and strategise  a range of solutions for logistical challenges to ensure project outcome is achieved and budget is maintained. She is a highly driven team player, committed to providing the best possible outcome and uphold a high level of service to, and communication with, all clients and stakeholders.

 

Prior to joining ZED, Alissa and her husband started a bespoke Building and Construction company in Adelaide, of which Alissa took on the role as Office Manager and Administrator, leading the start-up process for designing and developing company branding, logos, templates and estimation spreadsheets.  Alissa was responsible for all accounts payable and staff on-boarding along with client/customer service and design generation of outdoor spaces.
