Matt Will

Senior Manager

Matt is a seasoned professional with more than 15 years of experience in roles spanning government, industry, and consulting. Matt brings a global perspective to his work having held senior leadership roles in Australia, China, the USA, and Europe.


Matt specialises in complex project planning and execution, financial modelling, business case development, operational efficiency, new market assessment, sales strategy, commercial strategy, business process automation, and optimising businesses for success in a global context.


Immediately prior to joining ZED, Matt was based in the US and worked as the General Manager – Sales and Operations at SEAPA, a leading South Australian aquaculture technology company exporting globally. At SEAPA Matt planned and led strategic expansions in North America and Europe. Matt led cross functional change projects at SEAPA including sustainability initiatives. SEAPA global success was recognised by being named Austrade Exporter of the Year.


Matt lived and worked in China before moving the US where he was the General Manager of the local subsidiary for leading Australian switchboard manufacturer B&R Enclosures. Matt led B&R’s sourcing and manufacturing operations in China for three years during a period of strategic expansion and project managed major plant and equipment CAPEX as well as expansions in scope and capability in engineering, production execution, sourcing, and sales.


Before leaving Australia Matt worked for Deloitte conducting complex analysis and providing actionable insights to clients in subject areas spanning manufacturing, mining, infrastructure, natural resource management, hospitality, justice, education, and the arts.

Matt brings a passion for using data as the grounding for effective decision making and deep experience helping organisations leverage data sources to make informed decisions, removing the need to rely on gut feel.


Matt combines deep analytical rigour and hands on operational execution to provide advice to clients which is insightful, practical, and meets the needs of stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Matt focuses on developing deep client relationships to understand their needs and tailor project outcomes to create real value through creative problem solving.

  • Master of Diplomacy and Trade – Monash University

  • Master of Applied Economics (International) – University of Adelaide

  • Bachelor of Commerce – University of Adelaide

  • Certificate IV in Government Administration – Canberra Institute of Technology
